As a result of the restructured State Forest Administration in NRW, and the implementation of forest-relevant directive tools, all State Forest Administration regulations had to be adapted accordingly. To this purpose, a team was established, which reports directly to the Ministry. - The new State Forest Administration regulations meet the following demands: - Transparent total concept on the basis of product division. Decreased regulation on density and the number of administration regulations. - Uniform and clearly defined structure of the individual regulations. - Recognition of modern leadership principles, especially leadership via defined objectives. Recognition of national and international programs and processes. - Recognition of the latest field-related expertise. - The administration regulations are no longer viewed as a rigid system, rather they are to be periodically reviewed, improved and adapted to meet new requirements. They provide guidelines not only for environmental and quality management, but also to cost/performance analysis and budgeting, and will thus ensure the future of the State Forest administration.
