Comparison of gallium, vanadium and scandium content in soil from industrial and agricultural regions

The aim of the study was the estimation of gallium, vanadium and scandium content in soils from industrial and agricultural regions of Poland. The obtained results were compared with internal standard and Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry techniques. The results of Sc, Ga and V determination in 10 percent HNO3 extracts show that more than 90 percent scandium and vanadium and about 50 percent of gallium have been provided to soil of Upper Silesia in the form of pollution
