The paper discussed practical support of decisions concerning agronomic practices. Fertilizer counselling based on soil analysis data resulted in savings up to 108 kg NPK per ha and year as related to conventional fertilization. Application of economic tresholds and early warning system for pests and diseases in the year 2000 resulted in substantial savings in pesticide active ingredients. Decision support in hop production technology resulted in better money returms and in lower environmental pressure
