Experimental studies on mixing water with water-NaCl solution were carried out in a vertical tube filled up with granular polyethylene bed at liquid flow from top to the bottom. Within Reynolds number range 60Re2100 mixing was more effective than in a tube without filling. Maximum mixing effectiveness was obtained at Re
