All forms of B fertilization did not affect the uptake and distribution of N in apple trees. Soil B application stimulated P uptake, which resulted in the increase of P concentrations in all plant tissues. This treatment also enhanced Ca level in the spur leaves and fruit flesh. B sprays after bloom increased Ca level and decreased Mg content in plant tissues studied, increased K concentrations in spur leaves and decreased K level in fruit flesh. B sprays before bloom did not affect the nutritional status of apple trees. Soil B application was most effective in increasing B content in spur leaves, whereas sprays after bloom enhanced B level in leaves from one-year-old shoots
