Application possibilities of the global positioning system in agriculture

Paper discussed the possibilities of global positioning system (GPS) application in Polish agriculture and the state of its actual development in other countries all over the world. Common availability of global system of object localization created quite new possibilities for mechanized farming. There arises a basis to implement the system of precision agriculture to field crop production, as the GPS enables exact positioning of all stationary and movable bjects at any place.
