The experiments were performed in a 60 colonies of honey bee infected naturally to various extent with Ascosphaera apis. Nystatin and klotrimazole were used for treating the colonies. The colonies were divided in 5 groups depending on the way of drug administration: 1 - in sugar syrup sprayed on combs and bees; 2 - in pollen cake:, 3 - in candy (powdered sugar and honey): 4 - in sugar syrup in small jars filled up every 2-3 days; 5 - control, sugar syrup without drug administered like in group 4. The efficacy of the treatments depended first of all on the intensity of infection. All groups of colonies receiving drugs had significantly more healed colonies than the control group. In respect of efficiency the best were methods 2 and 3 (one half or more colonies without symptoms of disease)
