Method to evaluate the effect of spreading disc parameters on effectiveness of fertilizer distribution

The study aimed at developing practically useful method to evaluate the effect of spreading disc parameters on distribution of granular mineral fertilizers and fertilization effectiveness. Relationships of technical parameters and equipment usability under given environmental conditions were determined. Mathematical model of granule motion on spreading disc and during falling down was elaborated and optimum working parameters were estimated in laboratory experiments. Simulation model adequate to existing conditions was developed and simulation studies were carried out. The method yielded a procedure for multiple use at operation course to determine the range of automatic control of application. The results of stand tests to determine the optimum disc position for uniform fertilizer distribution were presented in graphical form
