Interest in mechanization of harvesting French beans increased and the Weremczuk Co. implemented into production the specialistic machines for harvesting bean pods. However, the operation quality of these machines was strongly affected by some characteristics of the standing crop. The study determined which crop features and to what extent influence the losses resulting from leaving not stripped pods on the plants, leaving stripped pods in the field, and the losses arising in a cleaning assembly of the machine
