Specifity of weeding of cereals in ecological farms in the Kujawy and Pomorze areas

The fitosociological research aimed at defining the influence of a farming system on species composition and the number of weeds. Forty two records were made in winter and spring cereals in May and June 2000. The average cover by cultivated plants was 64 percent in ecological farms and 52.5 percent in traditional ones. The average amount of weed species on record was 11 and 8. There was 57 species covering the study area. The dominant were: Chenopodium album, Chamomilla recutita, Capsela bursa-pastoris and others
