Precision agriculture in Poland

Development of electronic systems caused that they are now being applicated also in agriculture and are influencing the further technical development of agricultural tractors and machines. Special use of the modern informatic technologies is seen in the precision farming, where the every fragment of the field area is treated individually. The precision farming is possible thanks to exact measuring such parameters as: physical and chemical properties of soil, weed infestation of crops, parasites and pests development and so on. These measurements may be now carried out thanks to, among others, stationary system of the Earth satellites which create so called Global Positioning System (GPS). In the article presented is an example of practical application of the precision farming principles in Poland
