Effect of sod seeding Trifolium repens L., Trifolium pratense L. and Trifolium hybridum L. on yielding of green growth in Sudety

In 1995-97, investigations were performed on sod seeding in order to renovate durable sward in the Sudety Agricultural Experimental Station of AR in Radomierz (near Jelenia Gora, 460 m above see level). The sward was seeded with Trifolium pratense L., Trifolium repens L., and Trifolium hybridum L. Sod seeding was done with a "Vredo" seeder. The development of clover was evaluated in relation to weed control with Starane 250, time of seeding (summer - spring), fertilization (PK and NPK) and varied frequency of cutting the sward after seeding. From the results obtained it follows that only seeding of Trifolium pratense L. and fertilization had a significant effect on the yield
