The tables on feeding value for ruminants of Mediterranean forages and by-products are the result of a thirteen year joint effort of 28 laboratories from twelve Mediterranean countries. They include over 600 references concerning 152 plants and 26 by-products. This already quite sizeable information appears still insufficient in relation to the locally available forage resources and should be completed in the years to come.
