Dynamics of nutrient uptake by traditional and self-finishing varieties of horse bean between flowering and full maturity
2002
Ksiezak, J.
Varieties of horse bean with different morphological features constituted the first ran factor in the experiment, whereas sowing rate in two variants: 50 and 70 seeds per 1 square m was the second rank factor. Dry matter, crude ash and fibre, N, P, K, Ca, Mg and Na content were determined in leaves, stems, pods and whole plants (one time per week) and additionally in seeds (after harvest) in the period between flowering and full maturity. Moreover the content of crude fat was determined in all organs and in the whole plants in three growing stages: flowering, pod setting and darkening of first pods
