Chemical composition of hydrogenic soils in the landscape of the Vistula Delta

The total content of Ca, Mg, K, Na, P, Fe has been determined in peat-muck, mucky, mud-muck, gyttja-muck and mineral - muck soils of the Vistula delta. The accumulation of the elements is the highest in the highly silted peat-muck and mucky soils. There is a positive correlation between the content of potassium, magnesium in the peat-muck soils and degree to which they are silted. The highest content of potassium and magnesium is observed in the mucky soils and calcium - in the gyttja-muck soils
