Influence of interactions between Cu2+, Zn2+ and Pb2+, Cr3+, NI2+, Co2+ or Cd2+ on their sorption and desorption in grey-brown podzolic soils

Model testing of the influence of Pb2+, Cr3+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Cd2+ on Cu2+ and Zn2+ sorption and desorption in three component solutions with sandy and loess soils was performed. The results were compared with experiments performed with two- and one- component solutions. In multi-component sets a significant decrease of Zn2+ and Cu2+ sorption was observed. It was caused by the competition for the sorption sities of soil solid phase between heavy metal cations
