The studies focused on the analysis of the domestic leather market in the 1990s in the field of supplying the tanning industry with raw hide and semi-tanned leather, considering export and import of leather; supply of tanned leather to the leather industry; concentration of the tanning sector, and the production and import of leather footwear in particular. The findings were interpreted with a qualitative and quantitative description, the description of the relations of cause and effect and statistical analysis. The findings were analysed with the structure indicators, dynamics indices and concentration indicators
