Effects of low frequency electromagnetic fields on the blood parameters of the horse

英语. This paper illustrates a survey carried out about the possible effects of electromagnetic fields on some blood parameters of horses. We described the situation of a standardbred stable in Northern Italy, with an iron framework and a high-tension line over one barn with boxes. The stable included two different barns, one facing the other; the first was comprehensive of 20 boxes, and was far from the iron framework; the other included 9 boxes and was immediately near the iron framework. A single box, in a different place, was immediately near another iron framework of the same high tension line. All the boxes were occupied by horses stabled in the same box for many months. Electromagnetic fields measurements, carried out by a Holaday electromagnetic fields meter and a Emdex dosimeter, showed data that are under the Italian allowed levels. On all horses, during the summer season, blood samples have been collected to control haematological parameters. No statistically significant differences were found between horses stabled near and far from the iron frameworks. As a tendency, the horses stabled near the iron frameworks showed a red blood cells count 15% lower, with a significance level of 15%; the monocyte percentage, for the same horses, was as an average about 40% higher, with a 14% significance level
显示更多 [+] 显示较少 [-]意大利语. E' stato eseguito uno studio sui possibili effetti dei campi elettromagnetici su alcuni parametri ematici dei cavalli. L'esperienza e' stata condotta presso un allevamento di trotter del nord Italia all'interno del quale e' presente, proprio nelle vicinanze di una serie di box, un traliccio dell'alta tensione. L'allevamento era formato da due file di box, disposte una di fronte all'altra, una di 20 box, distante dal traliccio dell'alta tensione, l'altra di 9 box, adiacente al traliccio. Era presente un ulteriore box, al di fuori dell'allevamento, posizionato sotto un secondo traliccio dell'alta tensione. Tutti i box erano occupati da cavalli che permanevano nello stesso box da piu' mesi. Le rilevazioni dei campi elettromagnetici, rilevate con un sensore di campo elettrico Holaday e con un dosimetro Emdex, danno valori sotto la soglia consentita in Italia. Su tutti i soggetti presenti, durante la stagione estiva e' stato effettuato un prelievo di sangue per analizzare il quadro emocromocitometrico. Non sono state rilevate differenze significative tra i cavalli distanti dai tralicci e quelli vicini. A livello di tendenza si evidenzia per il gruppo di cavalli piu' vicini al traliccio un numero di eritrociti piu' basso in media del 15%, la percentuale dei monociti e' invece mediamente aumentata del 40% circa, con un livello di significativita' pari al 14%.
