Determination of folic acid in enriched pasta samples and commercial corn flakes by an immunoenzymatic test

英语. Pteroylglutamic acid was determined using an immunoenzymatic test. Enriched pasta samples were analysed which we had prepared and dried at a low temperature in an experimental apparatus. Vitaminized samples of commercial corn flakes were also analysed as references. Linearity, recovery tests and coefficients of variation were determined. Slightly lower values than those given on the wrapping were determined for the corn flake samples and average values of 53% were found in the pasta samples, compared to the amount added to the semolina (800 microng/100 g). This is a fast method which will certainly be found useful for carrying out quick tests to determine the folic acid levels in enriched products

Sono stati analizzati campioni di pasta, arricchita, da noi preparata ed essiccata in impianto sperimentale, a bassa temperatura e, come riferimento, campioni vitaminizzati di fiocchi di mais del commercio. Sono stati determinati la linearita', i recuperi e i coefficienti di variabilita'. Per i campioni di fiocchi di mais sono stati determinati valori leggermente inferiori a quelli riportati sulla confezione, mentre per i campioni di pasta sono stati rilevati valori medi pari al 53% rispetto alla quantita' aggiunta alla semola. Il metodo puo' sicuramente risultare utile come rapido test per determinare i livelli di acido folico in prodotti arricchiti
