英语. The Tunisia fruit industry covers a total area of 625,000 ha, respectively of 520,000 of stone fruits and 105,000 ha of pome fruits. The peach industry covers an area of 36,500 ha. The non-irrigated orchards are a total of 26,000 ha and are concentrated in the Central-South of the Country, while the irrigated orchards, 7,000 ha, are mainly located in the North of the Country (late ripening varieties). The National objective concerning production is the achievement of a self-sufficiency for a six month period (April - September). Furthermore, an overview of the main rootstocks, varieties, training systems, orchard management techniques and of the main diseases is reported

La coltura del pesco interessa un'area di 36.500 ha. I pescheti non irrigati assommano a un totale di 26.000 ha e sono concentrati nelle zone centrali e meridionali del Paese, mentre quelli irrigati, 7.000 ha, sono situati principalmente nel Nord (varieta' a maturazione tardiva).
