A new type of reciprocal translocation t (4q + ; 14q -) was detected in a boarwith a 49 p. 100 reduced prolificacy. The same abnormality was observed in 9 animals, 7 females and 2 males, on a total of 14 offspring studied. Some zootechnical consequences of this abnormality are discussed.

Une nouvelle translocation réciproque t (4q + ; 14q -) a été trouvée chez un verrat ayant une prolificité réduite de 49 p. 100. La même anomalie a été retrouvée chez 9 animaux, 7 femelles et 2 mâles, sur 14 descendants de ce verrat étudiés au total. Les conséquences zootechniques de cette anomalie sont discutées.
