2023
Nechiporuk, Stanislav
The article discusses the history of the formation and development of trade relations between Russia and Canada in 1914-1922. Particular attention is paid to the issues of increasing the turnover of goods and finance in the period under study. Agriculture, mining and river navigation in Siberia were the most promising areas for cooperation in the export of equipment and goods from the rapidly progressing Canada. In recent pre-revolutionary years, harvesting agricultural machines have become the main export item from Canada to Russia, successfully competing in the south and in the Ciscaucasia with American ones. In the future, bilateral relations in 1914-1917 developed in the context of Russian military orders in Canada, were interrupted after the October Revolution of 1917 and resumed in 1922.
