This research was carried out to determine the effects of different sowing dates (September 14, October 14, 2016 and March 27, 2017) on yield, yield components and quality of some winter safflower cultivars (Balcı, Linas, Göktürk) and genotypes (Ayaz, İran) under ecological conditions of Konya on Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir AKÇİN’s trial fields of Agricultural Faculty of Selcuk University in 2016 and 2017 years. The experimental was designed as “Split Plots in Randomized Complete Blocks” with three replications. In this research; plant height (cm), the number of branches per plant, head diameter, the number of heads per plant, 1000 seed weight (g), seed yield (kg ha-1) and crude oil yield (kg ha-1) properties were found an important statistically (p <0.01). In addition to, observed crude oil content (%), the number of seeds per head were found an important statistically (p <0.05).
