The article assesses the state of key agricultural industries from the perspective of their functioning in the grain production chain. The main trends of changes in sales volumes, net profit and profitability of sales are analyzed on the basis of indices of structural shifts in the main links. The existing differences between the links of the grain production chain according to the pre- sented key economic indicators are revealed.
