This paper focuses on the role of private stocks in the Bangladesh foodgrain economy, and presents estimates of the quantities of private stocks in Bangladesh based on data on household-level monthly stocks 1of paddy and rice from the Bangladesh Integrated Household Survey (BIHS), 2010-11 and 2013-14 and other sources.
