The influence of main techniques and methods of spring barley tillage on the assimilation surface area and the crops leaf area index under the soil and climate conditions of Kursk region | Влияние основных приемов и способов возделывания ярового ячменя на площадь ассимиляционной поверхности и индекс листовой поверхности посевов в почвенно-климатических условиях Курской области

The research purpose is to determine the influence of a cultivar, seeding rate and application of mineral fertilizers when cultivating spring barley on the assimilation surface area of one plant and the leaf surface index of crops according to the crop growth phases in the soil and climatic conditions of the Kursk region. The studies were conducted in 2022 and 2023 in the field experiment at the Federal Agricultural Kursk Research Center in a grain-fallow crop rotation. The experimental scheme includes the study of three cultivars namely 'Suzdalets', 'Promethei', 'Despina'. The second factor is seeding rates: 3, 4, 5, 6 million viable seeds per 1 ha. The third factor is the levels of mineral fertilization: non-fertilized control plot and N30P30K30. It was found that the assimilation surface area of one spring barley plant in the seedling stage depended to a greater extent on the cultivar (by 40%), and it also increased under the influence of mineral fertilization (by 16%). 89% of the leaf area index of spring barley in the seedling stage depended on the seeding rate. During the tillering stage, 72% of the leaf area depended on the year conditions. Research during the crop blooming stage revealed that the main factor influencing the assimilation surface area and leaf area index was the year of study (31 and 44%, respectively), the cultivar factor provided 23 and 27% of the indicator variation, respectively, and the mineral fertilization – 20 and 30%, respectively. During the milk-ripe stage, because of the leaves dying off, a decrease in the photosynthetic parameters of spring barley is observed. It has been determined that the assimilation surface area of one plant and the leaf area index are very dynamic indicators and largely depend on the year of research, cultivar and mineral fertilization. During the initial period of crop growth, the leaf area index is affected by the seed application rate.

Цель исследований - определить влияние сорта, нормы высева и внесения минеральных удобрений при возделывании ярового ячменя на площадь ассимиляционной поверхности одного растения и индекс листовой поверхности посевов по фазам роста культуры в почвенно-климатических условиях Курской области. Исследования проводились в 2022, 2023 гг. в полевом опыте в Курском федеральном аграрном научном центре в зернопаровом севообороте. Схема опыта включает изучение трех сортов – Суздалец, Прометей, Деспина. Второй фактор – нормы высева: 3, 4, 5, 6 млн шт. всхожих семян на 1 га. Третий фактор – уровни внесения минеральных удобрений: контроль без удобрений и N30P30K30. Выяснено, что площадь ассимиляционной поверхности одного растения ярового ячменя в фазу всходов зависела в большей степени от сорта (на 40%), также она увеличивалась под действием внесения минеральных удобрений (на 16%). Индекс листовой поверхности ярового ячменя в фазу всходов зависел на 89% от нормы высева семян. В фазу кущения площадь листьев зависела на 72% от условий года. Исследования в фазу цветения культуры выявили, что главным воздействующим на площадь ассимиляционной поверхности и индекс листовой поверхности фактором является год исследования (31 и 44% соответственно), фактор сорта обеспечивал соответственно 23 и 27% варьирования показателя и внесение удобрений – 20 и 30% соответственно. В фазу молочной спелости из-за отмирания листьев наблюдается снижение фотосинтетических показателей ярового ячменя. Установлено, что площадь ассимиляционной поверхности одного растения и индекс листовой поверхности являются очень динамичными показателями и в большой степени зависят от года исследований, сорта и внесения минеральных удобрений. В первоначальный период роста культуры на индекс листовой поверхности оказывает воздействие норма высева семян.
