Extract: The objective of this study was to determine the characteristics and structure of the milk production sector of the Georgia dairy industry. Changes in the production sector were documented to show the significance of technical and economic factors on size, numbers, and production practices on Georgia dairy farms. A description of the producing sector should contribute to an improved understanding of the changes in and the direction of the dairy industry in Georgia.
