The purpose of this symposium is to provide an overview of HACCP, present management factors that may impact on the implementation of HACCP for several different species, present several "real world" scenarios regarding implementation of HACCP, present the industry perspective from several commodity groups, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between animal health researchers and those responsible for designing and implementing HACCP programs.
