Extract: The objective of the research reported here was to estimate price flexibilities for finfish landed in Texas. these estimates are necessary to assess the impact on the market resulting from the landing of previously unutilized trawl fish. the method of harmonic analysis was selected as these are evident pronounced cycles in the data on landings and prices and little data is available on other economic variables. this procedure is described and estimates of flexibilities for major finfish species and an aggregate category are presented.
