The effect of carbon nutrition on growth and sporulation of Colletotrichum capsici, isolated from chilli, was studied during present investigation. Maximum growth of the fungus was recorded with the supplementation of pectin, sucrose, maltose and D-fructose, while the growth was least with lactose. The growth in the medium did not supported the growth of pathogen.
