Composition of the essential oil of Teucrium orientale L. ssp. orientale from Iran

The essential oil of Teucrium orientale L. ssp. orientale (Lamiaceae) was isolated by hydrodistillation of the aerial parts of the plant and the oil was obtained with 0.03% yield. The chemical composition of the volatile oil was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. The main components were linalool (17.0%), beta-caryophyllene (9.3%) and caryophyllene oxide (33.5%).
