Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is a clonal myeloproliferation of pleuripotent stem cells, mainly granulocyte series. Diagnosis of CML is usually based on peripheral blood smear examination viz, normocytic normochromic anaemia, marked neutrophilia with a shift to left and vacuolation of cytoplasm of myeloid cells and its confirmation required bone marrow biopsy. Treatment with hydroxy urea is found to be effective. The present paper deals with a case of CML in a 10 year old pomeranian dog.
