Misuse in foods of useful chemicals
1977
Johnson, Paul E.
In recent years a number of chemicals useful in agriculture, industry or food processing have caused, or are suspected to have caused, ill health and even death when misused in ways that result in hazardous intakes from foods. Some examples of such misuse are reviewed. The misuse was caused by various factors including ignorance or need for food caused by poverty, human error, and the mistaken use of apparently useful chemicals for essentially trivial reasons without adequate precaution.
