Botanicals, viz. neem oil, castor oil and mentha oil and insecticides, viz. emamectin benzoate, spinosad and deltamethrin were evaluated for their efficacy against Callosobruchus chinensis on stored pigeon pea seeds in gunny and HDPE bags. After six months of storage, emamectin benzoate @ 40.0 mg/kg of seed recorded minimum mean beetle population (18.66 and 18.33, respectively). Seed weight loss was also significantly lowest with emamectin benzoate treatment in both gunny and HDPE bags (10.05 and 6.18%, respectively).
