Food allergy
1978
Dickerson, J.W.T. | Ballantine, Lysbeth | Hastrop, Kathleen
Two letters to the editor respond to an article about food allergies. One writer does not attribute adverse reactions to overconsumption of coffee and caffeine tablets. Another letter cites evidence that adverse reactions to food are a relatively common cause of chronic ill health. The writers contend that food allergies should be suspected in patients with protracted illness in whom it has not been possible to make a conclusive diagnosis. An exclusion diet revealed patients' allergies.
