Effect of Boron on White Clover (Trifolium repens, L.) Seed Production
1967
Johnson, Wiley C. | Wear, John I.
In a coarse-textured soil with a water-soluble boron content of 0.10 ppm, the addition of boron at the rate of 560.7 g/ha significantly increased white clover seed production. This response was due entirely to an increase in the number of seed per seed head. No increase in seed yield was obtained with higher rates of B or other trace elements. There was no effect of boron or other minor element additions on forage production.
