A Field surveys carried out in different villages of Bundelkhand region indicated varied level of pest incidence and damage on maize crop. Insect pests like fall army worm and cob earworm (H. armigera) were recorded as major insect pests infesting maize during the survey. Maximum infestation was found in Sanora-Datia at a growing stage while the minimum infestation was observed in Panchumpura-Tikamgarh at a growing stage of maize. During the grain formation stage maximum infestation of spodoptera frugiperda was observed in Sanora-Datia while the minimum infestation was recorded at pipra-Jhansi in maize crop. The local check showed minimum infestation as compared to single cross hybrids (DHM-121, DHM-117). Whereas the maximum infestation by cob earworm was observed in the Daryankala-Tikamgarh and minimum infestation observed in Pipra-Jhansi. Again local check showed minimum damage as compared to single cross hybrids (DHM-121, DHM-117). The maximum yield was obtained from single cross hybrid (DHM-121, DHM-117) and minimum yield from local check.
