Delayed secondary immune response in mice immunized with Toxoplasma antigens and its effect for protection against Toxoplasma gondii
1984
Toxoplasma gondii, mice (exper.), slow primary immune response following immunization with Toxoplasma peritoneal exudate (PE), to produce high secondary immune response mice were boostered after primary immune response reached peak level in 4 weeks or later, immunization with PE alone suppressed Toxoplasma growth but could not accomplish protection, mice which were immunized with PE in complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) or with PE containing Toxoplasma antigen in CFA and survived challenge with Toxoplasma (RH strain) showed complete protection against rechallenge with higher dose
