A study is described that was designed to assess behavioral differences between anemic and non-anemic Guatemalan infants. Behavioral data and demographic and social characteristics of these infants are presented. The results showed that the infants with iron deficiency anemia had significant behavioral abnormalities relative to the non-anemic infants.
