The leaf essential oil of Angasomyrtus salina, isolated in 0.3% yield on a fresh weight of leaves, contained alpha-pinene (77.83%) as its major component. Over 80 other components were present in the oil in amounts of 3% or less. The significant compounds were campholenic aldehyde (1%), 1,8-cineole (0.1-1.0%), beta-pinene (1-2%) and bicyclogermacrene (1-3%).
