A computer simulation model of cotton harvesting and handling system was developed. The system can consist of any number of harvesters, module builders, and boll buggies. The results from unvalidated simulation were as follows: a) initial harvest date significantly affects the lint picked and total revenue; b) one harvester is more economical than two harvesters for a 283.3-hectare farm; and c) the system without a boll buggy results in higher total return than the system with one boll buggy when harvester dumping times are short.
