Methods and some findings are reported from the ICFB Harvard Giessen intervention study on children at risk of malnutrition. Components of the investigation were: nutritional supplementation; infants stimulation program; intervention effects on intellectual performance; and, supplementation effects on habituation to a visual stimulus. Consideration of the data reveals that both the stimulation and supplementation interventions are having early positive effects on the psychological development rates of treated children. The stimulation program is particularly successful.
