Teulamioside, a neo-clerodane glucoside from Teucrium lamiifolium

A new neo-clerodane glucoside, teulamioside, was isolated from the acetone extract of the aerial parts of Teucrium lamiifolium, in addition to the previously known diterpenes montanin E and teuspinin. The structure of teulamioside [(12S)-6 beta-acetoxy-15,16;18,19-diepoxy-neo-cleroda 13(16),14-dien-20,12-olid-18 beta-yl-beta-D-glucopyranoside] was established by chemical and spectroscopic means.
