The percentages of dry matter of the annual lespedezas at different stages of growth are compared. These data are compared with those of alfalfa when in one-tenth bloom and soybeans when the pods were three-fourths filled. When similar growth stages are compared there appear to be distinct but slight differences in dry matter content between the varieties of annual lespedeza. At the usual haying stage soybeans and alfalfa contain significantly lower dry matter content than annual lespedeza.
