Photography in relation to pasture investigation in the Soil Conservation Service
1936
Copple, R.F.
Since its beginning the Soil Conservation Service has attempted to make use of every available means which might aid in awakening the American farmer to the problem of erosion and enlist him voluntarily in a national program to conserve the soil. Not only does the farmer need to be enlisted in this program, but also a large percentage of those who are interested in conservation of our resources. Not the least important of the implements at hand is photography, and the potency of the photograph has been constantly stressed as a means of emphasizing the acute need for action to combat erosion.
