Larson, D.W. | Kane, M.D.
Extract: The possible effect of rail line abandonment upon grain marketing and transportation costs in a thirty-one-county area of central and southwestern Ohio is examined through network modeling and analysis with the Fulkerson Out-of-Kilter Algorithm. The Ohio Grain Rail Abandonment Model (OGRAM), used to evaluate the corn, soybean, and wheat transportation problem, contains farm and elevator storage and drying activities, elevator receiving and load-out activities, truck, rail, and barge transportation activities.
