A case study of a young female presented with a cutaneous, urticarial, disseminated eruption was found to regularly chew gum containing chlorophyll, menthol, and BHT. Further study revealed BHT to be the causative agent. Cessation of chewing the gum resulted in disappearance of the eruption within a week.(wz)
