Regulation of hepatic nitrogen metabolism in ruminants
1997
Lobley, G.E. | Milano, G.D.
This short review focuses on two of the roles that the liver has to accomplish in the regulation of nitrogen metabolism; detoxification of ammonia, and the hepatic partition of absorbed amino acids between catabolism and protein anabolic fates; as well as the ensuing consequences for the availability of amino acid sources to the peripheral tissues.
