Soy oil should be plentiful this year

Soy oil provides the greatest amount of edible oil for the snack food industry. In fact, soy oil, made from soybeans, accounts for over 80% of the total vegetable oil used for edible purposes. It is both the most available and the most economical oil. In addition, soy oil is a highly unsaturated, rather bland and light colored oil capable of being processed to a wide variety of specifications. Interestingly, the public seems far more familiar with a competing oil, corn oil.
