Efficacy of chlorantraniliprole 18.5SC and spinosad 45SC was evaluated against the fruit borer Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) in chilli crop during 2017 and 2018 at the Entomological Research Farm, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Both the insecticides were found to be significantly superior, with chlorantraniliprole 18.5SC and spinosad 45SC @ 125ml/ ha being the most effective, achieving less infestation as compared to their lower doses. Fruit yield was also significantly maximum with these treatments giving higher returns.
